- Description
- Vandals damage school. Claude T. Fraley, the supervisor of maintenance for the city's public school system, examines a door damaged by vandals who ransacked Linkhorne Junior High School during the night. Police Lt. C. E. Robertson Jr. said Patrolman W. T. Gillespie found the break-in shortly after 2 a.m. today. The vandals smashed double glass doors at the music department to gain entrance, then broke into the principle's office and ransacked it; ransacked the main office and looted two vending machines. Robertson said that seven full glass doors were smashed; 14 small windows broken; three chains and padlocks cut and the air vents from three interior doors removed. The financial cost to repair the damage was not estimated.
